Clonagh Pedigree Simmental Herd

Wanda was one of the founder cows in the Clonagh Herd and is in the history of all of our top breeding cows.

Wanda four daughter, Cowslip & Clementine, Dorothy and Edel all made up the back bone of the herd today. Although the first generation of daughters are now gone, the herd still comprises of over 30 breeding females going back to this great cow.

Voom Sammy was purchased by Hiltonstown Simmentals, Northern Ireland at the Premier Show & Sale, Roscommon Spring 2009 for €4,000.

His half brother Ace by Banwy T-Rex is one of our high hopes to turn a few heads at this years summer shows.

Norbert was the Overall Champion at the Premier Show & Sale Roscommon, Spring 2004 selling for €3,700.

His full brother Robert was the Reserve Champion two years later in 2006 selling for €3,200

Raven Kay has been a regular prizewinner since her show days began as a calf in 2005. She was reserve national intermedaite champion in 2006 and Liffey Mills female champion as an in calf heifer in 2007.

Her full brother Pluto Boy was Premier Sale Champion at Tullamore in 2005 sold for €2,850. Another full brother Willies Boy was Champion at Carrick on Shannon in 2009 sold for €2,500.
