Banwy T-Rex is National Livestock Show Champion 2009

The Clonagh herd had a fantastic run at the National Livestock Show with our senior stock bull “Banwy T-Rex” taking the Male and Overall Simmental of the Year championship.

T-Rex was described by judge Mr. Hector Mc Caskill as being “without a fault.” Speaking with Mr. Mc Caskill afterwards he commented on how freely the bull walks, stands correctly without any need for a stick, hold his head up proud and has everything to be proud about.

Other major achievements for the day included both champion and reserve champion in the National Junior Cow/In Calf heifer final with Milton Senhorita and Cloneygowan, Tempress Posh and Reserve National Intermediate Heifer with Clonagh Venus.

Clonagh Adorable by Banwy T-Rex won the January 2009 heifer calf class with Clonagh Ace also by Banwy T-Rex finishing 2nd in the January 2009 bull calf class to the eventual reserve male champion of the show.

Our September 2008 heifer calf Clonagh Wee Tiger G was placed 3rd in her class. She is out of a homebred bull Clonagh Tiger Gallant.

Clonagh Venus Grace by Raceview King finished 4th in the National Senior Heifer Championship giving away 6 months in age to the top three heifers.

In the progeny pairs line up our Banwy T-Rex pair of January bulls, Ace & Aspen were the highest placed 2009 pair finishing 3rd overall in the National junior progeny pairs final. Our Milton Hilary pair took the Reserve in the National senior progeny pairs final.

Clonagh Herd triumphant Balmoral debut

Milton Senhorita along with her January 2009 calf, Clonagh Angel Eyes by T-Rex won the Senior Cow Class and Reserve Female Champion.

Winner of the Best Pairs Class were Milton Senhorita and Banwy T Rex along with their daughter Clonagh Angel Eyes.

	Following a long week at the Royal Ulster Show, Balmoral we are delighted to announce that our stock bull “Banwy T-Rex” took the Overall Simmental Breed Championship Along with this our show team consisting of Banwy T-Rex, Milton Senhorita, Clonagh Angel Eyes (her calf) and Clonagh Venus Grace all achieved top placing in their respective classes as well as taking the Pairs Class and Milton Senhorita taking the Reserve Female spot.
