Topping the trade at the society Premier sale in Roscommon March 2011 at  €10,400 was our October 2009 bull, “A Super Star”. Aptly named, “A Super Star” is a phenomenal bull with a phenomenal pedigree. Possible the best T-Rex son born on farm to date, he has exceptional width, power, muscle and presence combined with his sires placid nature. He was sold to the Islavale herd of W S Stronach, Banffshire, Scotland.

His maternal side contains two prolific show cows “Seabank Tiffany” and “Star Polly”, stars of the 80’s and 90’s and both Overall Simmental of the year winners. Grandam “Milton Kiffany” and dam “Milton Seabank” both shown as heifers.Paternal grandsire Raceview King’s progeny have excelled in the show ring in the 00’s.

Also making the trip across the water was “Clonagh Banwy’s Bad Boy” selling for €3,000 to Edward Moran Evans, Norfolk for his pedigree herd. He is a big powerful T-Rex bull out of an extremely consistent breeding cow, Clonagh Princess Joan. Full sister Clonagh Angel exported to Wales at 9 months €3,000. Half sister Clonagh Venus (By Kilbride Farm Newry) was reserve national intermediate heifer 2009 exported to Popes herd UK for €5,000.

Our young T-Rex heifer “Clonagh Brenda Nanda” also heads across to Norfolk to join her half sister “Jennalyn Anora” in the Shannock Herd of Ian and Julie Turvey for €2,500.

From the Jennalyn herd, “Jennalyn Amira” sold for €3,000 to John Reynolds, Naas, Co. Kildare. This young T-Rex heifer is out of a Raceview King cow, Jennalyn Scarlet. Her twin sister “Jennalyn Amora” sold to Northern Ireland at the Premier Sale November 2010 for €3,000.

All of the above were by our herd sire Banwy T-Rex, the king of the ring and holder of three national male titles and two overall national Simmental of the Year titles as well as breeding two overall national champions from his first two crops of calves. T-Rex now has three sons in pedigree herds in mainland UK as well as 5 daughters exported.

We wish all of these breeders the very best of luck with their new purchases.
