    Purchased at the Perth Bull Sales November 2007 for 8,500 gns (€12,500)

    The bull himself was a second prizewinner to the Senior Champion. This was a first time exhibition for new breeders, Richard and Daffyd Jones from Welshpool, Wales who began breeding pedigree Simmentals in 2004

    His dam Skerrington Hyacinth 8th was herself a 2nd prizewinner sold in Perth October ’05 as an incalf heifer. His sire Sterling Nelson 2nd had previously caught our eye as, also the Hyacinth cow family did three years previously following a private tour of 35 Simmental Herds across the British Isles in search of new bloodlines. Nelson 2nd was Senior Champion himself in Perth sales 2003 with his first 11 sons averaging €6,000 mostly prizewinners in Perth

    Keeping it in the family - PERTH BULL SALES FEBRUARY 2008

    Annick Talisker

    We were delighted to see T-Rex’s half brother making the second highest price at the Perth Bull Sales in February. 

    He was Junior Champion and sold to Hector Macaskill from Woodhall at Innerwick, Dunbar for 20,000gns.

    Talisker is an October 2006 son of Sterling Nelson 2, and out of Annick Brackens Primrose by Innerwick Lancelot.

    Sterling Jool’s Tania

    Female Champion, Sterling Jool’s Tania was a maternal sister to Sterling Nelson 2 out of his dam Sterling Alpena’s Jool’s. She was the top priced heifer of the sale selling for 6,500 gns.

    Reserve Best Group of 3

    The 3 Sterling Nelson 2 sons from the Annick Herd were placed 2nd in the Group of Three bred by same exhibitor class. Overall 5 of his sons from both the Annick & Skerrington Herds averaged 7,000 gns.
